A Bird in the Hand

Stitching by hand.

I picked up needle and thread for the first time in months. I'd almost forgotten what a calming and pleasant thing it is, especially in winter when the wind is howling and you're curled up on the couch needing to do something.

I had put this piece aside to focus on painting. I told myself I would finish it later, and yesterday it was calling my name. (Now available in my Etsy shop.)
